Under Regulation – 106 of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board
service Regulations, the Junior Engineers/Civil II Grade who have been selected
for promotion as Junior Engineers/Civil I Grade are allotted to Superintending
Engineers concerned. Their details are furnished in the enclosed Annexure.
2. The Superintending Engineers are requested to
issue necessary appointment posting orders to the above Junior Engineer/Civil
II Grade. In the promotion orders, it
may be indicated that if they do not join duty within the stipulated time their
promotion are liable for cancellation and their next junior will be promoted
and posted.
3. The Superintending Engineers concerned are
requested to issue orders declaring completion of probation in the post of
Junior Engineer/Civil II Grade to the individuals to whom orders or declaration
of completion of probation have not been issued so far and then serve the
promotion and posting orders.
4. The Superintending Engineers are requested to
report the date of relief and joining of the individuals.
5. It is also hereby certified that the above
individuals are fully possess the required qualification to hold the post of
Junior Engineer/Civil I Grade and their pay may be fixed under Service
Regulation 33(b) as per rules.
6. The Superintending Engineers are also
requested to issue suitable instructions to the Officers concerned to relieve
the officials within 2 weeks from the date of issue of appointment and posting
orders without waiting for joining of substitute and if any of the Officers do
not relieve, necessary Disciplinary Proceeding may be initiated against them
for not relieving promptly.

The Junior Engineers/Civil II Grade may also be informed that
representation for recommendation for modification of orders will not be
entertained, even if any attempt is made for modification of posting through
third person and if they fail to join duty within 10 days from the date of
relief, necessary action may be taken to cancel the appointment orders and the
fact intimated to this office for cancellation of the selection and allotment
orders. The same may be closely watched
and action taken.
8. Item Nos.1, 2, 3, 4, 5, are not eligible for Transfer Travelling
Allowance.
9. Receipt of this memo may be acknowledged.
