PROCEEDINGS:

          In the Board’s Proceedings cited, amendment was issued to the Special Pay and Allowances Regulations to the effect that the Line Inspectors, Lineman, Wireman  and Helpers incharge of Distribution work in Distribution Systems are alone entitled for drawal of Cycle Allowance (Conveyance Allowance).  

          2)  It has been represented by the Unions/Chief Engineer/ Superintending Engineers that the Cycle Allowance allowed to the Mazdoors are recovered based on the Audit objections.                         Since the  Mazdoors are utilized in place of Helpers in Distribution Sections and hence, it is requested that the Cycle Allowance hitherto allowed to the Mazdoors of the Distribution Circles may be continued and to withdraw the Audit objection made. 

          3)  After careful consideration, the request has been accepted.   Accordingly, it is hereby ordered that the Mazdoors utilized in O&M Distribution Sections of the Distribution Circles may be allowed Cycle Allowance (Conveyance Allowance) as is being allowed to the Helpers in O&M Distribution Sections.  The Chief Internal Audit Officer is directed to withdraw the Audit objections made for recovery of the Cycle Allowance already allowed to the Mazdoors.
