          In the TANGEDCO Proceedings cited, orders were issued to the effect that in case of accident to the employees/officers of the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited and Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation suffer injury due to accident while performing his duties or while travelling from his residence to office to perform duty or while returning from office to his residence after performing his duty, the entire cost of medical treatment incurred by the employees/officers of TANGEDCO/TANTRANSCO be reimbursed by the Corporation without any reduction.

                           

          2. Of late, the cases relating to the consideration of medical expenditure incurred by the Trainee employees of various categories viz., Field Assistant (Trainee), Mazdoor (Trainee) Helper (Trainee) and Office Helper (Trainee) who met with Departmental/Road Accidents have been received.

3. As the Trainee employees are being utilised in various circles for the field work, it has been decided to extend the medical assistance to all Trainees of TANGEDCO/TANTRANSCO as per the existing order in force.

4. It is hereby ordered that all the trainee employees viz., Field Assistant (Trainee), Mazdoor (Trainee), Helper (Trainee) and OH (Trainee) who meet with  Departmental/Road Accidents shall be allowed to reimburse the expenses incurred by them as per (Per) FB TANGEDCO Proceedings No.22 (SB), dt: 06.05.2013. The cases which are pending at present shall also be considered accordingly.
