PROCEEDINGS:-

          Based on the Settlement under Section 18(1) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, orders have been issued in the Board’s Proceedings cited creating promotional avenues to the Regular Work Establishment employees working in all the four Thermal Power Stations.

          2)  It has been brought to the notice that while implementing the Board’s Proceedings cited, certain difficulties have arisen and sought for clarificatory orders.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

          3)  Accordingly, the following further orders are issued:-

          i) The number of Technical Assistant/Tester Chemical shall be maintained at their sanctioned strength and the difference of  394 Nos. Technical Assistant/Tester Chemical between the sanctioned strength and the available strength are revived in the four Thermal Power Stations as follows in addition to the already sanctioned strength in the Line Inspector equivalent categories having Rs.2,700/- Grade Pay:-

          ii) The employees promoted consequent on the Board’s Proceedings cited shall be allowed notional fixation with effect from the date of Settlement i.e. 26-3-2012 and the monetary benefit shall be given effect to from the date of their actual joining in the promoted post.

         iii)  The eligibility period of six months service for promotion from one post to another post, in the case of Lineman upgraded as Line Inspector equivalent category, shall be taken from the date of Settlement.

        iv)  23 posts of Driver with the Grade pay of Rs.2,500/-  are hereby created  and the same quantity shall be reduced from the strength in the Rs.2,700/- Grade Pay category mentioned in Annexure-I of the Board’s Proceedings cited as follows:-

Mettur Thermal Power Station               -           7

Tuticorin Thermal Power Station            -           9

Ennore Thermal Power Station              -           5

North Chennai Thermal Power Station    -           2

          v)  In category-I Special Grade Foreman equivalent posts,    Column-4 of Ennore Thermal Power Station in Annexure-II to the Board’s Proceedings cited relating to creation of posts shall be read as 5 Nos. instead of 4 Nos.
