PROCEEDINGS:

          In the Board's Proceedings second read above, orders have been issued that, the approval of the Energy Department, Government of Tamil Nadu be obtained for issuing No Objection Certificate to the officials in Class-I service for their visit to foreign countries to perform tour as Tourist, on pilgrimage, to see friends and relatives and on employment abroad, including business missions.

          2. In the Government Order first read above, orders were issued modifying certain conditions for issue of No Objection Certificate to the officers on deputation abroad on business missions. After careful consideration, the Board has decided to adopt the said orders of the Government.

          3. Accordingly, the TANGEDCO hereby directs that (a) the Board of Directors of TANGEDCO, be delegated with powers to approve the proposals of officials in Class-I service on deputation other than the Chief Executive Officer and All India Service Officers to visit foreign countries; and (b) the approval of the Government is necessary for all  categories  of  officials including CEOs, if they are deputed to foreign countries for training of any kind, general or specialized ones in the plants of foreign joint venture partners.

     4. The receipt of these Proceedings shall be acknowledged in the slip enclosed.
