The issue of payment of
ex-gratia for the year 2011-2012 to the Temporary Casual Labourers and Contract
Labourers, Part-time contingent workers have been considered and accordingly the
Hon'ble Chief Minister has announced the payment of ex-gratia to the Contract
Labourers and Part time contingent workers for the year 2011-2012.
2) Accordingly, it has been decided that
i) The Contract Labourers who
are engaged directly by the Board on need basis on daily wages of Rs.120/-
continuously till date, without any break as per this Office Memo. first read
above and paid ex-gratia for the year 2010-11 and subsequently absorbed into
Board service as per BP read above shall be paid ex-gratia for the year
2011-2012.
ii) The Part-time contingent workers who were paid
ex-gratia for the year 2010-2011 and are continued to be engaged till date
shall be paid ex-gratia for the year 2011-2012.
iii) The Contract Labourers who are engaged in Vandavasi, Kumbakonam,
Thirumayam Rural Electric Co-Operative Society and absorbed as Temporary Casual Labourers vide
(Per) F.B. TANGEDGO Proceedings No.3, (Adm. Branch) dated 19.02.2011 and paid
ex gratia for the year 2010-2011 shall be paid ex-gratia for the year 2011-2012

iv) The 10 Contract Labourers
engaged in Pudukottai EDC who were working in the then Thirumayam RECS and now
engaged as per Letter 3rd read above shall be paid ex-gratia for the year 2011-2012
v) The 236 Temporary Casual Labourers who have joined into Boards
service as per court orders in W.P No.12960 of 2009, 22667 of 2008 and 18402 to
18405 of 2008 and subsequently absorbed as Mazdoor (Trainee) as per the B.P.
4th read above shall be paid ex-graita
for the year 2011 -2012.
3) In pursuance of the above,
it is hereby ordered that the persons mentioned in para 2 (i) to (v) above
shall be paid exgratia of Rs.1500/-
(Rupees one thousand five hundred only) for the year 2011-2012. The ex-gratia
payment shall be made on 08.11.2012.
4) The Superintending
Engineers are strictly informed that accountability will be fixed on the
officers for non-compliance of these orders and in case the payment is made to
any ineligible persons, responsibility will be fixed on the officers concerned.
5) The Superintending Engineers are requested to
send a report regarding number of Temporary Casual Labourers/ Contract
Labourers, Part time contingent workers
who are paid ex-gratia for the year 2011-2012, along with their paid
acquittance. The Superintending Engineers are also requested to send a seperate
catogorywise statement (i.e., para 2 (i)
to (v)) showing the details of the names
of Temporary Casual Labourers/ Contract
Labourers, part time contingent workers who are paid ex-gratia for the year
2011-2012 along with their date of birth, date from which they are engaged and
place in which they are working on or before 30.11.2012 in the format
enclosed.
6) The receipt of this Proceedings shall be acknowledged.
