                   In the reference (1) cited,  the Hon'ble High Court of Madras has ordered as below:

	This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S. K.SATHIYAMURTHI, Advocate for the petitioner the court made the following order:-
	Notice to the respondents returnable in two weeks.
	It is made clear that all promotions made already shall to be in any way hampered or hindered. There shall be an order of status quo as on this date, for a period of two weeks.
	Post after two weeks. Counter, if any, by then.

                   2) In view of  the  above, all the Superintending Engineers/ Electricity Distribution Circle were instructed not to consider promotion in respect of RWE employees in Distribution Circle  until further instructions,  vide  reference (2)  cited.

          4) After careful examination of the issue, the  Chairman-cum-Managing Director/TANGEDCO has approved that "the employee already promoted to the post of Foreman I Grade may be considered for the higher post"   

                                                          and 

"Regard to promotion to the post of Foreman I Grade need not be considered from any channel since the order (in W.P.20504 of 2016) is operative. "   

                   5) Hence,  all  the  Superintending Engineers of Electricity Distribution Circles  concern  are  hereby informed   that  the employee already promoted to the post of Foreman I Grade may be considered for the higher post and regard to promotion to the post of Foreman I Grade need not be considered from any channel since the order (in W.P.20504 of 2016) is operative.
