1) In the work load settlement dated 09.01.2014 and subsequent B.P cited above, Special Grade Foremen posts were sanctioned to all the Operation & Maintenance Sections and also construction sub-divisions as done earlier to the Metropolitan and Urban areas.

2)   Earlier some of the Foremen have relinquished their rights for promotion to the Special Grade Foreman for personal reasons. Some of such employees and unions have represented for reconsideration of revocation their relinquishment in order to avail the promotional opportunity, as Special Grade Foreman.

3)   The matter has been examined in detail. It has been decided to consider the above request as a special case and it is ordered that the above revocation of relinquishment may be considered before the expiry period of 3 years as a special case.

4) The Superintending Engineer/EDC should review the cases and take out a list of such persons for considering them along with others ignoring their relinquishment. The Superintending Engineer /Electricity Distribution Circle shall examine and consider the promotions subject to the employees being found otherwise qualified and suitable.
