Sir,
The
employees mentioned in the Annexure are provisionally selected for appointment
as Tester Chemical in the Pay Band of Rs.5400-20200+2800 Grade Pay with usual
allowances admissible as per rules, subject to protection of loss of pay, if
any by grant of personal pay as per B.P. MS (FB) No.95 (Sectt. Branch)
dated:20.11.1985 by Internal Selection and allotted to the circles noted
against each.
2)
I request you to issue orders of appointment as Tester Chemical to the employee
concerned, as mentioned in the Annexure as per provision in Regulation-106 of
the TNEB Service Regulations.
3) I request that the following clause may be
incorporated in the appointment order to be issued to the employees:-
i)

Their pay will be fixed by grant of
personal pay to the extent of the difference in the basic pay admissible to
them from time to time in the post of Tester (Chemical), till the basic pay
becomes equal to or more than the basic pay in the previous post or their
promotion to higher post whichever is earlier, as per orders in B.P. MS (FB)
No.95 (Sectt. Branch) dated:20.11.1985 and clarification orders issued
thereon from time to time.

ii)
|
Since the appointment now ordered is by
internal selection, the individuals are not eligible for fixation of pay
under Regulation 33 (b) of TNEB Service Regulations.

|
iii)
|
They should produce satisfactory evidence
in original regarding their educational qualification, date of birth and
community etc. before joining, for verification and that if any discrepancy
is found in the certificates or if they are found to be unqualified their
appointment will be cancelled followed by cancellation of selection also.
|
|
|
iv)
|
Those who do not possess the adequate
knowledge in Tamil (i.e. S.S.L.C. Std.) should pass language test conducted
by the TNPSC within the prescribed period.
|
|
|
v)
|
That the employees concerned should give
an undertaking relinquishing their rights for further promotion in RWE cadre/
Provincial cadre in the event of their appointment as Tester Chemical and
they have no claim for further promotion in RWE cadre/ Provincial cadre.
|
|
|
vi)
|
They will not be eligible for reversion to
their parent category of post under any circumstances.
|
4) An undertaking to the effect for item Nos.
(i), (v) and (vi) under para 3 have to be obtained from the individual (in
duplicate) before their joining as Tester Chemical and one copy of the
undertaking should be pasted in Service Roll/ Service Book of the individual
concerned and another copy should be retained in the office of the
Superintending Engineer.
5) The officers concerned may also be requested
to send a prescribed form of Physical Fitness certificate to the individuals
alongwith orders of appointment directing them to produce the same duly filled
in and attested by a Government Medical Officer in the rank of not less than
Civil Assistant Surgeon at the time of joining duty. The Physical Fitness Certificate should be
scrutinised by the Superintending Engineer and the service of individuals may
be regularised with reference to the instructions issued in the Administrative
Branch Memo No.134730/R.11(1)/85-1, dated 20.12.1985.
6)
I am to inform that if any selected employee is involved in any D.P./
Undergoing punishment, the appointment order need not be served on them and
allotment returned to this office for cancellation.

7)
I request that the date of relief/joining of the employee may be reported to
this office.
8) The officers may be requested to fix the last
date for joining duty as Tester Chemical and if they do not join duty on or
before the last date the selection order should be cancelled.
