PROCEEDINGS:-

          In the reference second cited, orders have been issued implementing Promotional Avenues to the Regular Work Establishment employees in Thermal Stations based on the  Settlement entered into between the Unions and the TANGEDCO, Dated : 26-3-2012 under Section 18 (1) of the Industrial Disputes          Act 1947.  In the said order, it has been ordered, among other things, that upgradation of the Selection Grade Helpers as Supernumerary Fitter Gr.II will be considered.  The above demand of upgrading the Selection Grade Field Assistants (Selection Grade Helpers) as Supernumerary Fitter Gr.II was placed before the Meeting of the TANGEDCO Board held on  23-4-2012 and approved. 

          2)  Accordingly, it is hereby ordered that the Selection Grade Field Assistants (Selection Grade Field Helpers) who are remaining without promotion to the next level of Wireman equivalent categories in all the four Thermal Power Stations consequent on the revised Regular Work Establishment staff strength as ordered in the reference second  cited  will  be  upgraded as Supernumerary Fitter Gr.II  as  a special case.  They shall be allowed fixation of pay in the Pay                   Band  of  Wireman   i.e. Rs.5400-20200 + Rs.2200/- Grade  Pay with

promotional benefit.  They will be accommodated in the regular posts of Wireman equivalent categories as and when regular vacancies arises.  The Supernumerary Fitter Gr.II posts held by them will be automatically downgraded as Field Assistant on their regular promotion.   They   are not entitled for fixation of pay on their regular promotion in the Wireman equivalent categories.

        3)  The receipt of the Board’s Proceedings shall be acknowledged.
